IMPORTANT REMARKS:
From 01.09.2007, Vietnamese living abroad, their spouse and children,
who are holding a foreign passport can apply for the visa
exemption certificate which is valid for 5 years. Each duration
of stay in Vietnam should not exceed 90 days. For further information,

Normal Visas:
A visa to Vietnam can be applied for by mail or in person at the
Embassy of Vietnam
as early as six months prior to the date of travel.
The applicant must submit:
- Original Passport.
- One completed application form
- One passport-size photograph.
- Visa fee: Please contact the Embassy
of Vietnam for information on current visa fees. Applicants applying
together may submit visa fee in cash together with their passports and other documents, or via the Embassy's bank account:

- A self-addressed postage-paid return envelope.
- For non-Swiss citizens living in Switzerland, you are
invited to provide us with a photocopy of the Swiss Stay
Permit.
Processing time:
It takes from 3-5 working days to process visa applications. It is recommended that you send us your aboved - mentioned papers 07 days before your departure. Don't
hesitate to make a
phone call to make sure that we have enough time for your
visa.
Diplomatic and Official Visas:
- Diplomatic and official visas will be granted gratis unless
otherwise agreed upon between Vietnam and the applicant's
country.

In addition to the documents specified above, the applicant must submit a
"Note
Verbal" from the concerned agencies of the Swiss government,
foreign embassies or consulates accredited to Switzerland, and international organizations.
Having the visa:
After receiving the passport returned with
the visa, you are invited to carefully check the data printed on the
visa: date of entry, date of exit, passport number, number of entries (if
the word "single entry" is crossed, that means the visa is good for
multiple entries ; if the word "multiple entries" is crossed, that means
the visa is good for single entry).
